New JIG chairman for 2006-2007 Announced

Paul Naismith is to Chair the Joint Industry Group from April 2006 to March 2007. He will succeed Paul Siviter.
Paul Naismith is Director of Business Affairs at Guardian Newspapers Limited (GNL). He has worked for the organisation in various capacities since 1987, and has taken a lead role in major contract negotiations across the business, as well as having contractual responsibility for GNL’s Berliner format. Paul Naismith has also played a central role within the Newspaper Publishers Association on both the NPA Finance Committee and Joint Recognition Committee. He is currently alternate for Carolyn McCall on the NPA Council.
Paul said: “The NPA is a founder member of JIG and I am proud to lend my support to the industry in the critical year ahead. I look forward to working with the other trade associations within JIG to ensure that we serve the best interests of both the industry and consumers.”
