Changes to JIG Administration
NEW CHANGES TO JIG ADMINISTRATION
5th March 2004
Following a review of the administration process for the Joint Industry Group (JIG), a number of changes are being implemented.
- The position of the JIG manager has become redundant
- The JIG office in Hampton, Middlesex has closed
- The ISSA Administrator office has moved to Central London
- A part time administrator will be appointed on a one-year contract to provide secretarial and administrative support for JIG.
Announcing the changes, JIG chairman Simon Marinker said: “The appointment of a full time JIG manager, on a one year contract, was a new departure for JIG and we are grateful to Lynette Jillians for the work she has undertaken for the group during that period. However, following a re-appraisal of the administrative process it has been agreed to make the position of JIG manager redundant and to close the JIG offices. As a result, ISSA Administrator Helen Brockbank has moved to new offices in London and a JIG administrator is to be appointed on a part time basis to provide the necessary support.”
New contact details for the ISSA Administrator, which took effect from 1st March 2004, are:
PO Box 46195, London EC1R 5WZ; Telephone Number 020 7713 0438; Fax Number 020 7837 3699. The e-mail address remains the same: info@news-issa.co.uk.
Simon Marinker added: “The JIG agenda has moved forward over the past 12 months, addressing many of the supply chain issues. With a new administration process in place we are confident that further progress will be achieved going forward.”
JIG recently announced that the new chairman for 2004/2005 is to be Terry Perry, Trading Director of Dawson News.
