New JIG Chairman 2009-2010 Announced

The BRC is delighted to announce that David Cooke from Tesco has agreed to become the BRC Chairman for the Joint Industry Group for the period May 2009-April 2010.

David has a wealth of retail experience from his 20 years with Tesco. This experience covers all areas of retailing from logistics through to store operations to the commercial team. David’s current role is as Category Manager for Papershop; which covers departments such as books, newspapers & magazines and cards.

David’s detailed knowledge of the category & experience of working with bodies such as the Booksellers Association, will be invaluable in helping JIG to develop in the ever changing structure of the News & Magazine supply chain.
